Frau Neumann joined the Bloomington High School North staff in August 2011 and is responsible for teaching the majority of German classes offered at North. 

Professional Bio.  Mrs. Neumann graduated from Valparaiso University where she earned her B.A. in German and International Economics and Cultural Affairs. During her time as an undergrad, she studied abroad for one year and attended the University of Tübingen. Most recently, Mrs. Neumann continued her studies in Germany upon receiving a grant to attend a 3 week long conference at the Herder-Institut in Leipzig in the summer of 2012.  Mrs. Neumann enjoys teaching  her students the German language as well as the geography, history, culture, and contemporary issues concerning German-speaking countries. Frau Neumann is a member of AATG.

Personal Bio.  Frau Neumann was born to American parents who lived in Wiesbaden, Germany near the Rhein-Main Army Base.  Her family returned to the US a few months before the Berlin Wall fell.  She spent the majority of her childhood in Omaha, Nebraska until she moved to Indiana to pursue German studies in college. Since 2010, she has lived in the Bloomington area with her husband and several pet fish.
